Ba Gua: Circle Walking
As a prerequisite to our Ba Gua introductory courses, we require that you have completed either the Level 2 courses of Opening the Energy Gates Chi Gung or the Level 2 courses of the Wu Style Tai Chi Short Form. To learn Ba Gua, your body, especially knees and lower back, should be free of joint problems.
Alternatively, you may ask the instructor for permission to join if you have equivalent experience in other Tai Chi, Chi Gung, or Ba Gua systems.
In our first introductory course, Circle Walking, we introduce you to Ba Gua’s slow circle walking, turning, and “diamond stepping” methods. We also introduce you to arm postures which you hold while walking the circle to open your body's energy lines from your feet to your fingers.
You also learn powerful warm-up exercises designed to align, loosen, and strengthen your whole body.
