Brookline Tai Chi is one of the oldest schools of Tai Chi and Qigong in New England, for 24 years offering a wide range of courses and trainings that enliven and empower students of all ages and levels of ability.

We teach ancient arts, both in their traditional forms and in more modern incarnations that utilize cutting-edge sports and medical science, and are
accessible to people with diverse interests and capacities. As of Winter 2017, we offer 20 different weekly classes, and an average of 3-4 special workshops every month. Our 3 most senior instructors have over 100 years of teaching experience between them!

Mission Statement of Water Way Arts for Health and Energy, Inc.

Water Way Arts for Health and Energy, Inc. exists to promote and support the practice and application of Tai Chi, Qigong and related practices as methods to improve quality of life — including strength, vitality, stamina, physical stability and a sense of well-being — for individuals and in the community at large, in an environment of acceptance, encouragement, and safety for people of all abilities.

Water Way Arts accomplishes this (1) by supporting the existence of Brookline Tai Chi, a school which offers a variety of classes and workshops for people at all levels of practice; (2) by providing community-based training-of-trainers and related workshops and materials to support the use of Tai Chi as an evidence-based falls prevention method, in coordination with public health and health-provision organizations; (3) by participating in efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of Tai Chi, Qigong and related practices on various aspects of health and well-being, in collaboration with academic institutions; and (4) by participating in community educational events.
